The TurtleStrat team of coaches highly value education and believe that children, through chess, can learn important life skills. We provide a friendly and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued and is encouraged to express and act upon his or her beliefs. Students of all ages can take classes, private lessons, small group lessons and participate in chess tournaments.
About the Founder:
Renata Natarajan is a Hungarian-American chess coach. She has been playing chess since childhood. From ages 6 to 18, she won 1st place for thirteen consecutive years in chess tournaments held by her hometown of Pápa, Hungary and the county of Veszprém, Hungary. In 2000, she won 1st place in the National Junior Chess Championship held in Szeged, Hungary. Reni has extensive experience developing prize-winning chess champions and chess teams through her comprehensive and popular chess programs.
In May of 2008, Reni received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Columbia University and in May of 2015, she earned her Master's Degree in Sports Management, also from Columbia University.
She is the Vice President of the International Society for Chess Research (ISCR), a 501(c)(4) membership organization. For more information, visit: www.chessresearchsociety.org
